I currently use some carbon soled MTB shoes with M520s.  Would I honestly notice any difference if I switched to a road shoe/pedal system?

Although it gives both Shimano and Look’s higher-end pedals a run for their money in terms of price, the Xpro 10 is actually the least expensive of Time’s three Xpro pedals. While the Xpro 10 has a hollow steel axle and steel bearings, the Xpro 12 (£259.99) has a solid titanium axle with steel bearings and is lighter at a claimed 94g per pedal. Any recommendations for a flat pedal winter show. I’ve heard that the Five Ten Freerider High Top is a good show for winter riding but it’s out of stock everywhere in most sizes and Adidas told me they won’t have more until Fall 2019. Wow, they are obviously a customer-centric business… NOT!

Ultimately, there really are only four main players when it comes to road-oriented, three-hole pedal systems: Shimano, Look, Speedplay, and Time. There are others to consider, such as Keywin and Coombe, but you’ll be hard pressed to find any of these alternatives in your local bunches. I hope there is a solution. I don’t have a problem with the expense but I have not found the info. on the Shimano web site that says it will work. I have seen the XTR Di2 derailleurs but I couldn’t find the information that said Di2 road shifters would work a triple and the info seems to restrict the front derailleur to 40T. What size is your largest chainring?

I have a pair of the five ten free riders .I had a shoe lace wrap around the axel of my Specialized Fat Boy Carbon.The result my foot was jammed into the pedal causing me to fall into a patch of prickley pear cactus. Noe I have a narrow piece of velcro underneath the laces to prevent this from appending again. I consider this a design flaw.
